DAVID AND KRISTEN WAREArchitects David and Kristen Ware have led the team at Ware + Associates since 2005. After years working alongside David’s father, John Ware, who founded the practice in 1967, the husband-and-wife team joined forces to usher in a new era for the family firm.
DAVID WARE
Principal
A third-generation architect from Atlanta, David Ware holds a Bachelor of Science in Design and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. After working alongside his father and the firm’s founder for 13 years, David now leads Ware + Associates, alongside his wife, and draws from 30 years of experience.
KRISTEN WARE
Principal
Kristen Ware, who hails from New York, joined Ware + Associates in 1993 after graduating from Clemson University with a Master of Architecture. Kristen has over 30 years of experience, and now leads Ware + Associates, alongside David. Her work is informed by all forms of design from art to fashion and landscape.
JOSE LUIS
Project Manager
Peruvian architect Jose Luis earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture before moving to the United States to pursue his Master of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He emphasizes collaboration, sustainability, and technology to bring the client’s vision to life.
THIEN BUI
Designer
Originally from Saigon, Vietnam, Thien Bui built a career in architecture, starting in 1981. Thien is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School and has completed technical drafting courses and AutoCAD/Revit courses. He also enjoys landscape and architectural photography.
JACKIE MILLS
Designer
Jackie Mills is an architectural designer, who holds a Master of Architecture from Hampton University. Jackie draws inspiration from visiting new spaces and cities and noticing all of the small details that make them special.
JEREMY FRANK
Designer
Jeremy Frank is an experienced architectural designer, holding a Bachelor of Architecture from Southern Polytechnic State University. His versatile career encompasses roles as an in-house designer and an architectural visualization consultant.
LEE BETH BURGE
Bookkeeper
Lee Beth earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia and has provided bookkeeping and accounting services to Ware + Associates since 2016. She and her husband have lived in Decatur for 30 years and enjoy traveling and eating tacos. Lee Beth is on the Board of, and an active volunteer, with Friends of Refugees and with her church.
LUKAS WARE
Architectual Intern
Planning to become a fourth-generation architect from Atlanta, Lukas is a student at Clemson University and an intern at Ware + Associates during the summer. He enjoys and takes inspiration from many different design professions such as graphic design, fashion, cars, and most certainly architecture.
